I don't know if this guy got a ticket or just a warning. Part of the issue was that the cop tooted his siren while the cyclist was waiting to turn, to warn him not to do it, but he made the turn anyway. I've done some creative maneuvers at this intersection in order to get to the bike racks located there, but hopefully I haven't done anything naughty.
The nice thing about the step-through frame is that it's so easy to swing my leg through and become an instant pedestrian the moment that I reach the sidewalk or crosswalk.
Stories of bicycling around Atlanta, reviews and comparisons of cycling in different cities, and commentary on the 'healthy places' that are created by pedestrian and bicycle friendly streets.
I welcome nitty-gritty questions about riding bicycles - how to pick a bicycle, find a route, stay un-sweaty, and feel comfortable in traffic. Post your questions in the comments section or email me.
Ouch! Thanks for the warning.
ReplyDeleteAPD will usually let you off with a warning unless you're really reckless. BTW: You've been added to my blogroll.
ReplyDeleteThanks Evan!
